Reading comprehension and reading fluency are vital skills that are developed during a child’s school years. Many students, however, struggle with this core literacy skill, especially those who don’t use English as their mother tongue. To ensure these students don’t fall behind, education technology allows them to work independently, whilst taking ownership of their learning development, in turn boosting their confidence. This session will introduce Fluency Tutor® for Google™; a reading assessment tool designed to boost reading proficiency, which is ideal for schools using Google Apps for Education (GAFE). It helps busy teachers support struggling readers and ELL students and allows teachers to track reading progress throughout the school year.
